WEATHER CANCELLATION

We make every effort to conduct all trips on time and to the proposed itinerary.   We are unable to go to sea in the event that a Tropical Cyclone or Gale Force warning is issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for all or part of your trip. In the event that any other natural disaster prevents us from running your trip, or if wind speeds exceed the safe operating limits specified for our operation by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

If Cancellation is made due to unforeseen circumstances or unsafe weather conditions this decision is made at the discretion of the Skipper and owners of Eclipse FNQ Charters. In the event that your trip is cancelled and unable to be rescheduled by Eclipse FNQ Charters, 30% of the total commitment is non-refundable/payable. This is given the fact that we will have already incurred the costs of relocating the fleet, buying supplies and paying crew, whether the charter goes ahead or not.

Eclipse FNQ Charters is not responsible to cover cancellations or reductions in trip length including rescheduling of flights and your accommodation.

Eclipse FNQ Charters will endeavour to do everything possible to ensure you have the necessary information to make a claim on your Travel Insurance policy to cover the non-refundable 30% deposit in the event of a weather cancellation.

ALCOHOL

Eclipse is a fully licensed venue. We operate in remote areas with alcohol restriction laws in place. Severe penalties apply for anyone disobeying these restrictions. Under no circumstances are you allowed to bring your own alcohol onboard. We will provide you with a list of alcoholic beverages that we stock onboard which are available for purchase. For special requests, you can provide us with a list of the alcohol that you would like onboard and we will purchase this prior to your arrival. We require you to provide us with this list at least 30 days prior to your arrival and payment for your alcohol can be made onboard prior to departure.

MEDICAL EVACUATIONS

We are able to evacuate people from the remote areas we visit through the Royal Flying Doctor Service and government rescue operations. It is our understanding that Australian citizens are covered by the Australian government.

Please note any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the client. Medical evacuations for non Australian citizens are not covered by our Government. Please ensure that your travel insurance covers medical evacuation if you are not an Australian citizen.

INSURANCE

Eclipse FNQ Charters strongly advises that travel insurance be taken out for your charter with us. In rare occasions, un-foreseen circumstances may cause events that are beyond our control. Eclipse FNQ Charters cannot be held responsible for lost holiday time, charter costs, airline costs, lost / damaged luggage / medical costs. Travel insurance is worth the minimal cost for the peace of mind it provides.
