Joe and Bianca Berwick have a combination of knowledge and passion for Far North Queensland. They started Eclipse FNQ Charters in early 2012 and since then, they put their every effort into ensuring each personalised charter is a success and every client leaves satisfied.
Having been raised in the region, they have spent their entire lives on the water and have extensive experience in sport fishing, spear fishing and diving the local waters. Prior to the establishment of Eclipse FNQ Charters, Joe and Bianca spent the majority of their working career in the marine industry.
After years of working on liveaboard vessels, the couple focus on all the little things that matter when on an extended charter. They pride themselves with providing quality liveaboard charters, with comfortable beds, quality linen, freshly cooked wholesome meals and a relaxed atmosphere. No detail is overlooked.
Eclipse FNQ Charters also teams with highly experienced contract fishing guides, who are familiar with the fishing styles and techniques required for the region. All of our guides are not only professionals but they are also good company.

Bianca has worked extensively around the world on numerous luxury yachts and larger commercial vessels as Skipper, Marine Engineer and Mate. She was introduced to the ocean at a very young age and it would be safe to say she has spent more of her life on water, than on land. She is your dedicated Skipper and will also be your onboard cook preparing fresh meals including your catch of the day. “You can’t come to an amazing destination like this and eat bad food!”
Joe has a strong background in Barramundi Aquaculture and the commercial fishing industry. He grew up on a farm on the Daintree River, exploring the Great Barrier Reef. Joe is an experienced Engineer and knows the Eclipse and her fleet of tenders inside out and back to front. Joe is famous for his beach BBQs! “Every day is different, it could be the sea, the wind, the weather or the people, no two are the same. I’ve got a job I love and the best office in the world.”
Lee is the owner of Weipa Sports Fishing, as well as being one of the guides. He leads the team with experience and enthusiasm, driving the commitment of providing guests with the very best possible fishing trip of a lifetime. As a guide and business owner, Lee has a total commitment to customer service. He lives and breathes fishing and when he isn’t working, he’s out fishing himself. He will do his very best to ensure you land the big one.
Dave Bradley has drawn his guiding experience from many years of guiding clients in a multitude of waters, both inshore flats and offshore Marlin and GT work. He has guided all over Queensland, north into PNG and other numerous extended trips across the Pacific and the Carribean. Searching for new waters and improving techniques and doing it with a casual yet professional attitude, is his approach to guiding.
