WHERE AND WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DO BARRAMUNDI FISHING?

Eclipse FNQ Charters operates fishing charters between March-November each year. The best time to come is anytime you can make it during these months! Traditionally there are two peak fishing periods per year, the “Run-off” (March-June) and the “Build-up” (September- early December). Note that Barra specific fishing takes place during the season which runs Feb-October each year.  

It’s essential to note that specific regions within Queensland may have variations in the best time for barramundi fishing. Additionally, local weather conditions, tides, and moon phases can influence fishing success. Checking with local fishing guides, charter services, or experienced anglers in the area can provide valuable insights into the current fishing conditions and the ideal time to target barramundi in a particular location.
